How Does It Work?

You email me your song. I email you my drums tracks.

The Idea

We all know that studio time is expensive. Bringing a drummer into the studio adds hours to your project – a couple of which are spent just setting up the kit and dialing in sounds. My kit is already dialed in and ready to record your song.

Regardless of your budget, location, style, or experience, I can provide custom-created drum tracks from my unique perspective, taking your music to the next level. Collaborating online allows us to both focus on what we do best. You can focus on writing and putting the initial vision of your music together. I can focus on pushing your vision forward in a way only a seasoned professional drummer can.

It’s important to me to keep these recording costs low. This allows me to work with a wider range of up-and-coming artists and musicians from all over the world. I truly enjoy being a part of your musical journey.

Current turnaround time is 5 business days.

Optimise Your Experience

Although certainly not required, here are a few ideas to get the most out of your overdub experience. Or if you prefer, I can take your song and just run with my own musical ideas.

  • Recording your song to a click or metronome will make for a more solid and consistent drum track.
  • Providing a breakdown of your song structure will help ensure your arrangement is enhanced. (Example: Verse 1 – Drums Out, Verse 2 – Drums In (Tight Groove with Space), Chorus: Drums Strong, etc)
  • Musical references will help enhance the tone of your song. Feel free to list songs, albums, styles, etc that encompass your musical vision.

What You Get

    • Everyone gets a fully mixed and edited high quality stereo file of the drum track. Simply drop the file into your recording program and you are done.
    • If you want more control, choose either the ‘Premium’ or ‘Professional’ option below. These options include separated mono tracks of each microphone (known as ‘stems’) to give you full control over the drum sound.
    • All files are in 24 bit PCM, 48000 Hz WAV format. This formatting is industry standard and can be used in any audio/video editing program, DAW, or taken to any studio for mixing.

The Thought Process

Featuring MC Brer Rabbit of Flobots fame, The Thought Process is comprised of groove oriented storytelling, deep pocket drum and bass, and an intellectual vocal vibe. The Thought Process goes back to the roots of RnB, Hip-Hop and Jazz. There are no computer parts, loops, tracks, or metronomes – just real musicians playing real music with a lot of great groove.
